Console logging - Implement a solution that can be turned on and off

The code currently uses console.log() to assist in problem determination.

• This shouldn't really be active in a production build
• but it would be nice if it could be enabled.

Proposed solution

Have a butchers at the possible solutions and choose something that will work well with React JS.
