Can I still follow the Biometric example in the book? #3

Hi Bob,

Thanks for a great book. I really enjoy reading it. I have reached chapter 5, and I wanted to setup the Home Biomedical Solution. Now it seems from your update on the wiki and my first look at the CreateResourceGroup.ps1 script in the archive folder, that the scripts are outdated, i.e. the switch-azuremode cmdlet.

I see you have added new content in the documentation folder.

So my question is, whether I can still follow the excercises in the book setting up the Biomedical solution, or should I instead focus on setting up this new solution instead, or what is your recommended path of doing the excercises and reading the book?

Hi David. Thans for your interest in the book, much appreciated! Yes the code is now out of date and the exercises related to the reference application are not relevant any longer. Microsoft has revamped their PowerShell and Azure PowerShell cmdlets and templates since the book was released. I am currently working on my next book which leverages ARM Templates and PowerShell. I am hoping to get that out after the new year.

Following up on David's post where can I find the tutorial to continue your Home Biomedical Solution example from Chapter 5 and forward? I have downloaded your updated files, but not sure where to go from here.

There have been a lot of advancements in the power shell commands so unfortunately that aspect of the repo is out of date. I am coming out with a new book in April that expands on the code concepts from that book and adds more detail around devices and advanced analytics with updated power shell scripts.
