About SCRUM for ERP #2

If we will build one application for external customers, for example: online e-ordering system, we can use "customer persona", "customer journey map" to identify EPIC and Features in product backlog. If we will build the solution in ERP system, for example: Oracle e-Business suite, how can we identify EPIC and Features in product backlog? Oracle e-Business suite is a commercial package. System solution can be fulfilled through "setup and configuration" or "development".

Let me try to answer your question.

Identify EPIC and features as the product for external customers.

First, you also need to identify personas, e.g here is end user for ERP system.
Second, from the end user perspective, with customer journey map, to walk through the whole journey, and find out what is required for next step, and then maybe you need to split the EPIC or features here.

By the way, some EPIC or features are just configuration from e-Business suite, which is also identified by your customer journey map.
