descoping extract and convert #1

i think that extract and convert are not in scope of lambdaj. Can we remove
those function?

I think this functions are useful and actually already widely used in the 
gen-e-risk
project. More probably they need to be refactored as suggested in the issue 4.

but we can substitute with a "map" function that can be used in many different 
way..
in generel i think that is better increase api only when it stricly needed.
