Release 0.9.0 should see JSON and XML support added.

Is there an expected date for this? I would find this feature really useful.

Me too, I'm now a bit puzzled because I need to import blog posts with messy HTML. Any suggestions what to watch for?

Update: Imports worked great on simple things and if I set MySQL export right on PhpMyAdmin to

Remove carriage return/line feed characters within columns
Put columns names in the first row then the resulting CSV mostly imports correctly :)

Thanks for this plugin, true lifesaver.
