Maybe you could at least make the APK available again here in the Github repo?
Thanks! So it's up-to-date again here in my F-Droid compatible repo. In the official repo, the RFP is blocked due to binary components unfortunately. (<- @andoruB).
related issue https://gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp/issues/840
@c-e-p-x-u-o nope, https://gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp/issues/406 it is 😉
@bobrofon any news on the blobs?
@bobrofon Not the dog (that would just trigger a warning we'd then ignore, as it doesn't look dangerous (not showing teeth)), but that library, yes. Quoting from the report:
ERROR: Found binary at app/src/main/assets/ssh
ERROR: Found binary at app/src/main/assets/sshfs
ERROR: Found shared library at app/src/main/jniLibs/armeabi/libfake.so
Looking at the source, I cannot find those paths, so I could trigger another rescan. I'm no dev myself, so I can't tell about the "binary build debs"; checking the corresponding comment it seems they're gone as well?
I've told the bot to perform another scan, so lets see what that shows.
@bobrofon I'm currently irritated: I see no new commit, but neither can I find the files listed above (funnily, neither does our bot whom I asked to scan again) (EDIT: Confusion solved, the last scan was almost a year ago). So I've prepared metadata and will now ask your app to be processed.
A little request nevertheless: could you please not delete older tags but rather keep them? They waste no space 😉 Thanks!
Does anyone know whats the sate of https://gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp/issues/406 ? I'am not familiar with the FDroid request workflow. So far I can see all checks have been passed.
@return42 see the "ready" tag on it? That means it's ready to be picked up for build. Unfortunately the F-Droid team is chronically understaffed – so it might take some time until one of our "builders" has a free slot and picks it up.
@IzzySoft .. cool / thanks a lot!
Hi @IzzySoft and @Rudloff, sorry for my impatience, I wanted to ask if you have a chance to force progress on https://gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp/issues/406 .. thanks a lot
@return42 I can't (I'm not a packager). And as far as I understand, Pierre was on it but was running into problems (and had to give up). Also, looking at the issue "over there", it seems we still lack an explicit statement from @bobrofon (or his dog).
@IzzySoft thanks for your feedback. @bobrofon did you see any chance to solve the build problems?
@return42 it seems that F-Droid build environment is not designed to use privileged docker containers. I cannot help with it. It is possible to make ssh/sshfs easy to build and without specific requirements for build environment, but i am not going to do it. It requires too much time(almost every ssh/sshfs dependencies has lack of static cross-compilation support). If somewhere there is ready scripts for cross-compiling sshfs, that would be helpful.
@bobrofon maybe you want to make the latest APK available again here in releases/
meanwhile, so I can fetch them into my repo until the app makes it into the official one?
Yay! Congrats! So shall I remove it from my repo then after a 10-day overlap (the "default action") – or do you want me to keep it in my repo, @bobrofon?

I don't have any preferences.
Some pros and cons are listed here. By default, I remove an app around 10 days after it became available at F-Droid, unless it was requested I keep it. So you just need to let me know if you want it to stay :wink:
First of all, thanks for making this app, and making it open-source! I was wondering, wouldn't you be able to release it on F-Droid? It would be the perfect place to host this app, and many people would benefit from it. You could also benefit if you have a flattr account, or some way for people to donate for your endeavours! I've submitted a request for packaging here: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp/issues/406
