net-analyzer/w3af-1.6.0.3::pentoo fails to merge (install phase) with chmod: cannot access ‘/var/tmp/portage/net-analyzer/w3af-1.6.0.3/image//usr/lib64/w3af/w3af_gui’: No such file or directory

As a follow up, adding gtk USE flag allows w3af to successfully build and 
update.

/etc/portage/package.use -->
net-analyzer/w3af gtk
