Bodymovin AE - preview and export are blank (no 3D or Effects) #71

Hi Bodymovin,

I'm trying to create an animated web banner for use on Google AdWords, and Bodymovin is the perfect solution for using After Effects 2020, my tool of choice, and avoiding Adobe Animate CC (which I would like to do at all costs).

However, I'm having trouble exporting my animations from After Effects – even though the resulting package passes the HTML5 Validator test and the URL clickthrough works fine, both the HTML file in the export package and the preview within Bodymovin show me a blank canvas.

I thought maybe the issue was with the way I'd animated the file, so I tried a test animation containing just a few seconds of a Shape Layer with Scale and Position keyframes and nothing else – the same issue again, with a blank Preview and HTML file which displays nothing when opened in a browser.

I've attached both my web banner and my test folders – are you able to let me know if it's something I'm doing wrong, or potentially a bug?

Thanks for the great plugin! Looking forward to using it for all sorts once I work out this issue.

Uh, just after I opened this issue I tried removing all of the Merged Paths within my AE layers, and selecting Convert expressions to keyframes under Expression options within the Bodymovin Export Settings.

Seems to have done the trick – the HTML plays the banner in my browser, and AdWords seems to like the package. The Bodymovin preview still doesn't show anything though – do you know what this might be due to?
