Maybe it could be nice to have an option in the menus to change the behaviour of the forward speed button. There could be two possibilities:

Activated as long as you are pressing the button and deativated when you release it (that's the way it is working now)
Activated when you press it one time, until you press the button again to deactivate

Just out of interest, why would you need this ? Why would you be holding the FF button down for so long ?

Well, for example to forward a menu music to a more advanced position if you want to listen to a certain part faster

But why can't you hold the button down ? I think it would be more difficult to find a bit of music if you had to press the button to start and then press the button again to stop, you might miss it !

Well, another example....to see the loading process of a game but accelerated. Instead of having the button pressed just press once and press again when the load finishes. It is only a suggestion and as an additional check, not replacing the way it is working now. There are many emus of other platforms which allow that or work that way.

But yes you can also hold the button and that works well.
