surface water #2

include surface water layer (need to rasterize)

having trouble rasterizing. In R it makes my computer crash. In ArcMap I just get a bit black rectangle. Tried varying resolution (lowest = 5, but not sure if that worked). I think the problem is that if I just make a cell black if it has water in it, then every cell in Britain will be black at current resolution (50m). So I probably need to assign a continuous value (e.g. proportion of cell with surface water), but I don't know how to do that yet.

Tried again in R but it chewed up my hard drive 165fa5315756528656e7b709fc59f74e0f82935c Trying it in ArcGIS instead.
