New version of infinality causes black screen in certain applications #148

Installing cairo-infinallity-ultimate 1.14.6-1, fontconfig-infinality-ultimate 2.11.94-1, or freetype2-infinality-ultimate 2.6.3-2 causes a black screen when joining servers in the aur package discord. The versions I have installed - cairo-infinality-ultimate 1.14.4-1, fontconfig-infinality-ultimate 2.11.1-30, and freetype2-infinality-ultimate 2.6.2-4 - work fine.

Thanks for the info. Infinality patch has been basically the same since the previous release. Only two extras were added -- see #133 and #130 for details. Patching against freetype2 2.6.3 was clean and resulted in no build errors. I think we will leave the report open and see what others may want to say.

I think there might be a problem with freetype2-infinality-ultimate 2.6.3-2 and Electron. I'm getting core dumps when trying to run atom-beta and from the dump I'm seeing problems in libfreetype.so.6

I don't think is an Infinality issue.

OK, I can confirm that downgrading to freetype2-infinality-ultimate-2.6.2-4 (x86_64) on Arch fixes the problem.

So I guess we will be waiting for the freetype devs' response.
