It does look strange... I'm not sure if I found the same site, but the title looks fine to me:
BTW, I only tweaked a bit height << 12.5px (as you can see in the shot, it looks sharper and more distinct now).
Is it possible that you have overlapping Liberation Sans settings either in /etc/fonts/conf.d
or ~/.config/fontconfig
? Did you try rebuilding the cache: fc-cache -f
?
Sry that I did not mention where this screenshot comes from. It is google news:

/etc/fonts/conf.d is the default. I have not touched any file. Furthermore I have deleted ~/.config/fontconfig and rebuild the cache a few minutes ago. The problem stays the same.

I always rebuild the cache before I ping you for an issue :). So the cache should be fine.
edit: I have found it. I had mentioned that I have deleted ~/.config/fontconfig and rebuild the font cache. But I forgot to restart my browser. Well, that was the problem... I am sorry! Thanks for your answer!
This one is a KDE5 issue rather than an infinality one. I have created a forum post here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1480596#p1480596
Since the last update Liberation Sans does not look beautiful any more (look at the
