CTRL and ESC on Nexus S #415

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. On a Nexus S, download connectbot
2. Attempt to enter a CTRL character
3. Attempt to enter an ESC character

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

A menu item to enter CTRL or ESC.

The help screen on virtual keyboards refers to a trackball, which the Nexus S
does not have.

This does work, touch the top part of the screen and a CTRL ESC icon appears
above left of the keyboard

Doh! That does work! This seems like it should be under Help -> VirtualKeyboard
then. I reviewed that page and other help pages and did not see this. Where is
this documented?

Any chance of getting those keys mapped to a bluetooth keyboard? (on a nexus s)

I like this implementation, but would love to see persistent alt, ctrl, arrow
keys, etc like JuiceSSH (toggled on or off by touching the screen)
