Fix for cache duration setting being ignored

I can't find any record of settings.json being created/used elsewhere

True it is not (yet) documented but you can create a settings.json file to load default settings. In future release I will either update documentation or merge your code.

@boldenamsterdam ok nice, looks good, I've tweaked the pull request to fallback from settings.json to the settings screen etc.. should cover all bases if you choose to merge it in..
