Check your PAM config and make sure that Howdy is above the other entries. Basically, PAM starts at the top and tries each authentication method one by one, so if the password is above Howdy the password will have to fail to let Howdy get a chance to run.
Please describe the issue in as much detail as possible, including any errors and traces. If your issue is a camera issue, be sure to also post the image generated by running
sudo howdy snapshot
.I am using EndeavourOS with KDE and SDDM. Everytime I try to unlock my laptop, I need to enter an empty password for howdy to begin facial recognition. Is there anyway such that Howdy will automatically begin facial recognition? I've tried "sudo chmod -R 755 /lib/security/howdy" and /lib/security/howdy has the proper permissions but it does not work. Any fixes?
I've searched for similar issues already, and my issue has not been reported yet.
