Add pay-related end-to-end tests #351

Add at least the following tests (and others?):

[x] A payment for less than the balance is successful
[x] A payment for exactly the balance is successful
[x] A payment for more than the balance fails
[x] A payment on a non-established channel fails

eventually, add:

[ ] A payment on a closed channel fails
