Creating excel files from python:

• https://github.com/dagwieers/unoconv I could not manage to convert csv to xls properly, and seems to be not exactly very stable
• https://pypi.python.org/pypi/xlwt or lhttp://sourceforge.net/projects/pyexcelerator/ ooks much more promising
