3 months ago a recice to convert the modded pearls to normal pearls was added in 1.20.4. I just haven’t backported it yet. I’ll also look into using a tag, though. there’s probably a forge:enderpearls tag
Is your feature request related to a problem?
When using other mods, such as Biomancy, there are crafting recipes that require ender pearls. But because the pearls I've collected are the new pearls from Enderman Overhaul, I can't craft the items.
Solution(s)
If there was a way to turn the modded pearls into the vanilla pearl, that would be awesome! Maybe just putting them into the crafting table would turn them into the vanilla pearl? This way I could still have the modded pearls in the world, but without the crafting hassle it can cause with mods.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I know that usually, things like modded wood would just use the in-game tag system for crafting recipes to be generalized. However because vanilla MC just has 1 type of ender pearl, there isn't a tag for ender pearls. I think the only other solutions would be to make a tag for ender pearls, then automatically go through all crafting recipes and replace the "ender pearl" with the like "#ender_pearl" tag made by the mod. However if I was a modder, that would sound like hell to implement, so I think a simple crafting recipe to turn modded pearls to vanilla would be great.
