On the yearly and all-time boards, instead of showing the longest chain of each author, show the longest and the active chain. The only way an author can have two chains listed is when the current chain is not the longest, which enable authors to compete against themselves.
Authors should still be ranked once only, so if the current chain is not the longest it shouldn't be counted in the ranking, like the "fallen" authors are not ranked in the "current" contest. Lines that are not ranked should probably be dimmed a little, to make it clear they're not.
