1 tag location

actually in semantic scuttle and shaarli the tags are on the left near the link tittle

and the distance between adding a tag and removing one from the tag list is small

on bookie the tag are on the complete right near buttons like edit or delete

2

the button "view redable content " is far too small too my opinion i want something easy to use not a point that point game

3 delete button

this button without a confirmation window is far too dangerous even more as it is near the tags buttons

4 on the search page autocomplete and tag cloud would have been nice

5 when starting to select a tag that list of realted tags would have been nice

shaarli do have the best gui but they have decided to keep it monouser semantic scuttle is the most complete application bookie looks more modern but not more usable

Thanks for the feedback. I've not used Shaarli before but from the screenshots I can see what you like about it.

I admit Bookie could use some UX love, but I'm not 100% sold on what the best path is.

  1. I can understand this, however if the tags are on the left then the UI per row is very busy. Scanning tags is impossible because of the title/urls breaking things up. This requires a more fundamental change than simply moving them left in my opinion.
  2. It's the same size as the text of the line. You're correct though that these rows don't really have a real 'call to action' UX that would be nice to have.
  3. I understand, I've gone back and forth on this one. I could see adding a confirmation step for sure.
  4. Yes! This is something that I'd like to do. The search UI needs a lot of love. I'm +1 on the tag/auto completion but also need to make sure it's kept different from the main ui as it doesn't do fulltext search like this page does.
  5. Interesting, how would you defined a 'related tag'? This is something we could look at, but I'm not 100% sure what would be best to do for that.

1 i understand your point when not logged this selection of tags on the right is easy but when logged i do not enjoy this to me mixer with the edit or delete button

2 maybe to put some stuff bigger eye icon tags edit and delete button

5 semanticscuttle is very ugly keeps being very complete

when you choose one tag, this make a selection of the tagged links semantic scuttle make a list of all the other tags that the links from the first tags also do have those tags are the "related tags"

this allows to refine the tag search quite easily

in semantic scuttle it is made not nice but useful

i hope i was more descriptive this time i am not native english speaker
