Where are the epub links? #358

My apologies if this is a really dumb question, but it wasn't in the FAQ and Googling didn't help. I have on my iThings a copy of the Python edition in EPUB format. I got this a couple of months ago, read it start-to-end, and it has me wanting the C edition as an EPUB for some language binding experiments I want to perform.

The problem is, I can't remember where I got the Python guide, and now I can't find the page with those links again. I've trawled all over zguide.zeromq.org and much of the rest of the zeromq.org site looking for it -- even searching the source in case it was hidden somewhere -- and I'm stymied.

Did the downloadable guide links disappear? Or are they someplace really obvious that I somehow overlooked? I figure the links would likely be mentioned in the content somewhere if they're there, so an issue here didn't seem out-of-place for asking. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

I didn't maintain the epub versions. There are free PDF versions instead, of at least the first chapters, as Code Connected Vol 1.

Too bad... EPUBs are IMHO a much better format for e-readers than PDFs. I noticed that the bin folder has an INSTALL file with the required packages for building the book, but the packages' names look outdated. Can you supply an updated list of packages (and maybe some building instructions)?

Awesome work with this book, BTW. Very helpful and informative.

The toolchain in bin is pretty limited; it aims just to produce Wikidot pages, and upload them. Some of the packages are irrelevant to an EPUB output, e.g. fo syntax highlighting.

What I'd do... is take the mkwikidot script (Perl), and hack it to produce Markdown, and then use e.g. pandoc to create EPUBs.

If you make this, we can add it to the bin directory. I can advise but can't help much, lacking time.
