Doesn't work with Wii U Pro Controller under Mavericks #45

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use Mavericks.
2. Use the Wii U Pro Controller.
3. If localization might be an issue - both were bought in South Africa.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The controller isn't recognized. After searching for a while, the program
aborts detections, and the controller goes off. (The controller works perfectly
with the Wii U system.)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.71, on Mavericks.

Please provide any additional information below.

Hello!

Try to enable "one-button-click", click on "Discovery" menu item, and press red
sync button on Wii U Pro Controller. If controller doesn't recognized, try
press sync button 2-4 times. Sometimes it helps.

If it helps (or not) - write about here :) I try to think about it deeper.

Hmm... Maybe device name of controller is not standard? Can you open
"Bluetooth" pane in System Preferences, and post here name of connected
controller? (If it doesn't connected, press sync, may be it connects.) If not -
i will try to write small utility to showing controller properties.

The name of the controller is "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-UC". I can see it in the
Bluetooth section only every once in a while. I cannot pair with it. Once I was
asked for a passcode, but I did not know what it should have been. Tried "0",
but it didn't work. But even getting to that took many, many attempts.

I can get that more consistently now, but I can still neither pair nor get wjoy
to recognize it. Are there any log files I could send you?

Ops, name of controller is standart. And currently Wjoy haven't log :( I'll add
log subsystem in next release (i written it today).

I did add some debug log to test utility ( http://yadi.sk/d/sgrAqCmFJFCnh ).
Please, download it, close WJoy, remove all Wii U Pro Controllers from
bluetooth preferences pane, and test controlelr with test.app (2-3 times). And
post log from it here. May be it help me solve this problem.

Dude I was using a bluetooth mouse & keyboard. No way BT is off.
It doesn't make sense. OpenEmu picks it up but Wjoy won't.
Wjoy basically doesn't even look for any WiiMote. It stops searching
immediately after "starting".
I say that cause I don't think it does.
