Trouble with grid system #1

When the grid system was applied to my contact page, it wouldn't push the icons to the right even when the grid system was applied in the large screen. I initially wanted the contact info to push left and the icons to align in a straight like to the right. Same problem happened when applying grid system on the images at the bottom of the detailed portfolio pages. I wanted on image to take up ⅓ and the other two to stack ⅔ of the screen and the tip ⅔ image would push the other ⅔ image down.
