@nickpad Your opinion? :smile:
Hey @manuelmeurer - sounds like a good idea. I'm in :thumbsup:
Great! Could you (temporarily) add me as a admin to this project? Then I can move it over to https://github.com/bootstrap-ruby and make you an admin there.
I can now commit but I think I need to be an admin to move it...
Yeah, there's a transfer ownership button under settings, but I think I need to be an admin of bootstrap-ruby in order to move it there.
Can you make me an admin of will_paginate-bootstrap? Then I can transfer the ownership, and you can remove me from the admins again.
Sure, happy to, but I don't think I can, there's no option for it under settings :confused: . Maybe only repos in an org can have multiple admins?
Ah yeah, that might be true. I added you as a admin to bootstrap-ruby, you should be able to transfer the repo now.
OK, that's done!
Sweet! I removed you from the admins again and created a team (that only consists of you) that has push, pull and admin access to this repo. Can you check if you can do everything you could do before?
Will you guys be doing an update to BS3 or should I put the effort in to learn how?
will_paginate-bootstrap is BS3 compatible.
Hi!
I am the maintainer of three gems similar to this one that make it easier to use Twitter Bootstrap in Ruby projects (https://github.com/krautcomputing/rails-bootstrap-navbar, https://github.com/krautcomputing/bootstrap-navbar, https://github.com/krautcomputing/middleman-bootstrap-navbar).
I was thinking about moving all those gems to a separate organisation (like "bootstrap-ruby") and wanted to get some feedback from other maintainers of similar gems (and the community at large) if that makes sense and if we could use this to make it easier for people to find gems to work with Bootstrap in Ruby (Rails, Sinatra, etc.) I think it would also invite other people to contribute to those projects if they were united in a central organisation.
What do you think? Would you be willing to move this repo to such an organisation as well?
