Problems in Excel365 get worse ... #30

Hi there,

Looks like the Google Argo group is not longer available?? So I'm posting here ..

I reported earlier some strange issues in Excel 365. Lately, our IT departement installed a Microsoft patchfix, and things get worse ...

It's not possible anymore to keep Argo loaded, it degrades the performance of Excel very badly, on opening files, saving files, forced recalc. It was so bad that I had to deactivate Argo, and I load it only when I really need to do a calc.

My Excel version is 1902, Build 11328.20438.

I know you cannot probaly do something about it (which is really a pitty), what I wanted to inform you and other users nevertheless.

I can't access the Google group either.

@nounours77, did you encounter this problem when installing Argo for Excel 365?

Did you try installing the 64 bit version of Argo?

Hi QubitBear,

I don't think I had the same problem, but I don't really remember. It then worked for some time, and then I had again other problems. No Argo is sometime blocked, like having a popup open but not seeing it. I then crash Excel, maybe even restart Windows, and then it works again. FTA never works, only native Excel. All in all not very realiable. What a pity.

P.S.: The google group is still online: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/argo-users https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/argo-users I could not reproduce why I couldn't access it, but I hat trouble finding it for quite some time. In fact, why are there two forums? I'm often confused not finding what a search, and looking in the wrong one ...

Did you try installing the 64 bit version of Argo?

I installed it through the link you provided. It installed without any issues and seems to be working fine, although I have not tested it much at this point. Thank you, todd-skinner!

Thank you for your reply, nonours77. I hope Argo proves more reliable on my system than what you are experiencing. Otherwise, it'll have to be VBA all the way. Regarding the Google group, I can't seem to access it through any link I've found, including the one you posted. I am presented with a message stating the content is unavailable.
