Things break with Android 12

I'm using OxygenOS 12 (android 12) on a OnePlus 7 Pro, and things broke for me too with the update. It doesn't connect reliably anymore, and most importantly it connects to it as a normal WiFi connection (only about 70% of the time, sometimes it works as expected), stopping mobile data usage (and consequently all internet access, as the car's WiFi doesn't have data).
