It should be possible to localise language names. This is useful in at least two cases:
This does increase the localisation burden, but due to the fallback system one can choose what to localise and when.
Also, I suggest that the language list is simplified as follows:
"kl": { en: "Greenlandic", kl: "Kalaallisut", },
Autonym then becomes the localised string matching the language code. And regions should follow a similar pattern:
"smj": { en: "Lule Sámi", smj: "Julevsámegiella", "regions": { "NO": { en: "Norway", nn: "Noreg", }, "SE": { en: "Sweden", nn: "Sverige", }, }, },
