Need feedback from program after selecting timestream - right now the only way you know it is working is because it hangs. need to add a dialog or progress bar or some visual feedback

This happens for the ANU case because the files are in a network storage and it takes a long time to get the data to the "local" machine. We can implement this by using pyqt threads.
