Hi,

Do you have instructions for providing power to the dragonfly via usb? Pretty new to this, so not sure where to start!

Thanks, Chris

Hi!

The easiest way would probably be to convert the 5v from the USB to 3.3v, then replace the batteries with that.

What's your goal?

Hi! I thought that this might be a great night light for my daughter and to perhaps change the LED patterns down the road. I've only got a software background and very little to no hardware, so I'm not sure what the best/proper way to accomplish this would be.

Oh, that's a great idea! I think it shouldn't be too bad. Do you have access to a soldering iron?

I think you could remove the battery holder and install something like this https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8376 in it's place, wiring the 3.3v supply lines to where the batteries used to be. (I'm sure there are other options for the supply, this was just the fastest to find)
