It would be nice to find a good way to do this on mobile indeed. On desktop, the number of hackers is displayed on hover. A user suggested to scale the icon based on the number of ppl in the city, which I had in mind and thought would be a good way to express this.

Yes we'll definitely want something to navigate the map and find users more easily!
