I also found very interesting pyglet demo ("non-Minecraft"):

because it is opensource, i wonder if we can use some of the music from Terrasology?

BertrandBordage commented 11 years ago

I'm musician ("opera singer" [hate that term] & organist/harpsichordist) and compose on my spare time. Maybe we can wait until I start working on it (if everyone agrees)?

ronmurphy commented 11 years ago

new, original music always trumps copied music.. or thats is just what i think. Also, WOW. You are talented! write code and music!

tfaris commented 11 years ago

Agreed, original music would be awesome. I could contribute guitar (electric and acoustic), except I'm awful at actually creating original music, so maybe just layers.

BertrandBordage commented 11 years ago

Composition is full of calculus, you know :) And the musics in Minecraft are quite simple. To write and to play. So that won't be difficult.

EDIT: I mean, to do something of the same level.

ronmurphy commented 11 years ago

everything that i know of music composition can fit in the eye of a needle. But yes, original is better.

BertrandBordage commented 11 years ago

@tfaris Mmmm… Acoustic guitar sounds like a perfect match for such a game! Or lute ^^

tfaris commented 11 years ago

You'll have to find someone else for the lute =P
