While making the grass mod I thought that some of the areas now look a tiny bit too plain. In the game files there are a bunch of flowers that are not used anywhere, so first, I went to put those to use. But soon I wanted even more flowers.
This mod adds some flowers to a few ground textures. For this to work as intended, it's necessary to raise the grass limit per texture (iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure) in the Oblivion ini - 5 should be more than enough. You can find your ini in My Documents\My Games\Oblivion. With the vanilla limit of 2, some flowers just won't show up. It's possible that the flowers can have an impact on performance. However, I didn't notice anything, and my pc isn't the best out there.
The Gold Coast will get red and yellow poppies. Autumn forest around the Orange Road will get flowers in red/yellow hues. The Heartlands and other plain green meadows will get daisies. The Colovian Highlands will get a colorful mix. The West Weald will get purple and blue flowers. The Paradise will get bluebells. Mania will get yellow and red poppies. No flowers were added to snowy and swampy areas.
I made this mod together with Far Cry inspired Grass - Expanded, which replaces a lot of the rough ground cover with plain grass. However, both mods can be used on their own. The screenshot section shows the flowers both with new grasses and vanilla ones.
Aaaand before you ask, I have no idea if it works with any other grass overhaul mod. Chances are if the mod has an esp, it doesn't, if it's just a replacer, it does. Feel free to try it out and let me know. Check out the comment section, some very helpful people have been sharing their setups, including other grass mods :)

This showed up as an unrecognized plugin. https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49616
Mildly annoyed author here. Adding graphics, nomerge and deactivate will break it if used with Enhanced Vegetation.

This plugin doesn't only need the graphics part, it does also need the density part. On the default esp, this will break only the poppies, by setting the density to 15, making them not show up. But several people need the optional "50 density" download (same name) for flowers to show up and overwriting them all with 25 again would break that as well.
I just updated my loot masterlist, thus importing those tags with wrye bash, and now my poppies are gone.
@Laulajatar If you're using LOOT, this is the wrong repository, you want https://github.com/loot/oblivion
@Ortham I am not using LOOT, but thanks. I am using BOSS. I just got informed that the LOOT masterlist imported this suggestion from this issue here and only used it to confirm that it breaks my mod. That's why I mentioned it here, so if BOSS maintainers ever look at this issue, they don't include the same tags.

At the moment the esp can be merged into the bashed patch because I overwrote existing flowers that were not used in the game - let me know if there are any conflicts, i.e. other mods using them.
If you use any esps of Enhanced Vegetation, this mod should be loaded after it.

Just install it like you install any other mod (please use a mod manager, for your own sanity), there's nothing special here. If you want to uninstall again, make sure to rebuild your bashed patch afterwards.
DON'T FORGET TO RAISE THE GRASS LIMIT IN THE OBLIVION INI, as described above.

You can do with this mod whatever you want, as long as it doesn't involve paid mods or pineapple on pizza.

Adds very pretty flower meshes to grass meshes, and spreads them around worldmap. Important, as it is part of very popular modlist by Bevilex.
