Scientific Names in Species index: Markdown? #2

Let's add an additional field to the species index. We want "scientific name" as plain-text, and "scientific name" as a Markdown field, allowing all the not-particularly-systematic italicization scientists like to see. Now is the time to do this, when we don't have more than 300 plants to manage.

Since we have good indexing with integrity testing associating specimens with species, genus, and families, each with unique URNs and descriptive labels, textual formatting is a concern we can separate out, and not worry about here.
