I tried to run it: installed, but cannot start.

Or maybe I did something wrong - can anybody please check Evernote running?

Not exactly answer to your request, but maybe it will help you. Try Nixnote2 as a Evernote client. Works quite good on linux. https://github.com/robert7/nixnote2

Thanks, I have NixNote, good that we have it, but good to have official client too.
