Regarding this issue, I did a quick manual testing of focus using tab
key and it seems that there areas for improvement. we need a more through testing to figure out all issue, also, not sure it can be automated or not.
the website can be tested with monochrome screen color to simulate vision impaired people.
a feature that we may want to add is to have some sort of A11Y floating menu on the HtmlPublisher to enable the user to change the color contrast
, set the font size
, utilize a screen reader
or increase or decrease the line height
. like the attached image.

After we decided on test framework and user personas we (Leonie, Roba and me) can have the meeting with the researcher from the integriert studieren institute and receive feedback for suggestions.
Part of the result of the User Tests https://github.com/boudicca-events/boudicca.events/issues/289 should be concrete improvements for visually impaired users.
Coordinate with your other USCC Fellows to discuss possible features and create tickets for them.
