Inclusion of theses and dissertations #64

This is not really urgent, unlike the other issues currently.

I've been thinking about this for a while now. The linguistics department has these pages of MA Theses and PhD Dissertations where they list all the theses and dissertations completed so far with their metadata (title, author, advisor, etc.). They also have links to the university's library. I think we can do the same by using the electronic library, unless I'm mistaken and we have this already. We can extract all the theses and dissertations and populate a static page for this. What do you think?

Other departments also have similar pages but the linguistics one seems to be the better one out of all that I've seen. Economics also has it, but not updated and without links. Translation and Interpreting Studies also has it.

We have it here but it's out of date and doesn't have links to the library.

I have maintenance concerns. I do not want to increase the maintenance load.

It could be better to give a link to the library directly.

Could you find the library list at your convenient time?

I think some of the theses in the current page seem to be added manually, that's why they are few and far between. We should be able to extract all the theses from the library automatically with their metadata. I don't think there seems to be maintenance work much more than work done to update teaching assistant information.

Here are the PhD theses, sorted by the year; and here are the MSc theses. YÖK Tez Merkezi (YTM) can be even better for consistency, here. If you select 'Boğaziçi Üniversitesi' as the university, 'Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü' as the institute, and 'Bilgisayar Mühendisliği Ana Bilim Dalı' as the field, then you can see all the theses, even the most recent ones; they don't even have to be completed. We have already developed code in TABILAB for another project to extract the metadata from these theses in YTM. As you wish!

I go for less code and less maintenance (no code no cry).

Those lists from the library would work. Could you design an initial theses page under the graduate folder? Then, we can make it coherent with the rest of the website. I usually used a card-based layout. Some introductory text before cards would complete the page. Maybe we can put the YTM link at the bottom too.
