I have proposed that GitLab start using Bountysource at: http://feedback.gitlab.com/forums/176466-general/suggestions/5890277-use-open-source-bounty-system-like-bountysource-to, but that will only be feasible once those URLs are parsed.

stp-ip commented 10 years ago

@cirosantilli gitlab is trying out bounties with this as it's first try: https://www.bountysource.com/issues/2770228-clickable-task-lists-in-issues-for-sub-tasks-with-markdown

We are working on more options be it integrating uservoice or moving feature requests to github/gitlab itself. For now the generic bounties will most likely have to be used.

cirosantilli commented 10 years ago

I came here because of the issue you mentioned =)

Added a bounty for this on the bountysource page for the issue: https://www.bountysource.com/issues/1449675-add-support-for-uservoice

vegetableman commented 9 years ago

Would like to work on this. Which branch should I work on?. Could the full scope of the changes required be described?

antoviaque commented 9 years ago

@vegetableman Great, thanks for offering to work on this! I don't know about the branch, but I can tell you about my use case for the scope of the changes -- I'd like to automatically add a bounty badge on each suggestion, ie bountysource | $400 bounty, to encourage supporters to donate.

vegetableman commented 9 years ago

@antoviaque suggestion? you mean the uservoice chat window.

antoviaque commented 9 years ago

@vegetableman By suggestion I mean this for example: http://opencraft.uservoice.com/forums/280754-open-edx/suggestions/7023259-xblock-services-as-plugins - ie the ideas on which users vote in a uservoice forum.

vegetableman commented 9 years ago

ok @antoviaque, I may look into it. So far, I haven't received any head's up on this and the backend code being private, @stp-ip is this feature development meant for internal developers?

stp-ip commented 9 years ago

The frontend and backend code for bountysource was merged and was intentioned to be opened up again. Not available yet. Perhaps one developer could get pre-open-source access for such a development, but for this @rappo or @warren are needed. I can not really involved besides suggesting this feature.

antoviaque commented 9 years ago

@stp-ip Wait - bountysource isn't open source anymore? If so I'd like to retract my bounty - how can I do that?

rappo commented 9 years ago

@antoviaque @vegetableman -- Sorry for the delay! @stp-ip is correct, the front end code was merged with the backend code and it's not opened up yet. We do have plans to open it, but there's no definitive date for that just yet.

Because of that, there's no way for this bounty to be paid out and it has been refunded to your Bountysource account @antoviaque. If you need any help can you email support@bountysource.com.
