error on daniel s toolbox Please let me know if the screen shot above is enough to troubleshoot. Thank you for the help. Rama Dey-Rao

Thanks. In the VBA window, could please do the following:

  1. Double-click on an arbitrary form, e.g. "Form_2WayAnova".
  2. Ensure that "Toolbox" in the "View" menu is activated (there should be a little palette with "Controls" visible). Usually, the Toolbox palette is opened automatically.
  3. In the "Tools" menu, click on "Additional controls...".
  4. In the list that appears, scroll way down and locate "RefEdit Ctrl".

Do you see the "RefEdit Ctrl" item? Is it checked?

The error that you see ("RefEdit_Range" not being a variable that is defined) is really strange. Do you have a full installation of Office? Or is this some sort of company setup where Office may be stripped down (and hence, lacking this user interface control).

Hi Daniel,

I went through the entire process including a complete download of the latest Microsoft Office etc. Then went through every step of what you detailed below and saw that the "RefEdit Ctrl" was checked with a cross sign. I also asked an IT person to check and see that I had the whole install of Microsoft Office 2016. Everything looks fine but the tool still gives me the same error. It does do the auto detect on adding the error bars but does not work on the interactive function and gives me the same error as I sent you the screen shot of. It always worked even three months ago.

So if you can help me I would truly appreciate it.
