Apparently I actually made a PR for a similar thing a while ago and then forgot about it :( https://github.com/bower/registry/pull/57

I prefer mine (naturally!) but don't want to come across as ungrateful.

I'm going to merge my own PR and apologise sincerely. There are a couple of improvements needed in my own of course:

• My single 'test' is a placeholder while yours actually tests something
• My Gulpfile needs to have a task which starts a test server on 8080
• You actually added the Travis build icon to the README which I did not!
• I apparently ignored my own advice about using expect.js to match bower/bower and used chai instead

So please don't feel like this means I won't accept changes.

@wibblymat why close this? We can rebase and include the things you want rather easily.
