currently it reads:

Are your friends mostly white, mostly racial and ethnic minorities, about half and half, or some other mixture of people?

Mostly white Mostly racial and ethnic minorities About half and half Some other mixture. Please explain:

for the "mostly racial and ethnic minorities" option, should we include a text box next to it asking, "Please explain which groups"? This could be too much, but on the other hand, it's diff if a Chinese R says they're hanging out with only other Chinese, or if they say they're hanging out with blacks and Latinos.

Right now, a box just appears next to "Mostly racial and ethnic minorities." We need to go some more info, because otherwise it's not clear what the box's purpose is. Let's try: "Please explain which groups"?

The same is true for the question about local community (that appears right before the friends question on p.6)
