reaver cracking wep? #319

Hey so i did a wash check and it agve me an access point and i started the 
reaver cracking...im at 35% now and i just realized that the access point is 
WEP not wpa...i even verified this with airodump scanning. does reaver work for 
wep too? will it actually work? or will it just hit 100% and crack nothing?

yeah.. reaver can crack ap with wep key?

Some routers support both WPS and WEP at the same time (Linksys E2500 for 
example). If attacked by Reaver the router will give you it's WEP key in the 
spot for WPA-PSK. 

Of course it's faster just to crack a WEP network using the aircrack suite.
