Unfortunately subscene.com don't have an API, so searching for subtitles would be rather difficult (I guess one could do it by screenscaping). Anyway, have a look at this discussion over at subscene http://v2.subscene.com/forums/p/43717/489807.aspx

I just realized that XBMC indeed does have a subscene.com plugin, which works like a charm. As I understand, the Boxee firmware is a modified version of XMBC, so this should indeed be possible.
