this version of 3D Writer doesn't install. the fonts should be right there in the release folder as pictured.
If you don't need the laser functionality you can just use the online version https://3dwriter.io
Thanks for the quick response. The online version has some strange issue where the print head in cura is so far away from the printer bed. So I was hoping to get the applicatoin working to get it solved or so if the software worked different.
I am using a Bibo 3d printer and Cura slicer.
When I need to set the pen offset to -150, 100 to get it to even be close to centered on my print surface.

I'm not sure why it would do that. it might be an issue with homing. i haven't tried this software on your style of printer where the build plate moves. With the online version click the blue button "Hardware setup". Set the pen Up & Down values to suit your printer.
The easiest way to get the heights is to manually control your machine using the touchscreen/jog wheel until the pen is where you need it. Then use the Z heights shown on the display in the Up & Down value.
I tried the hardware setup and I had to do stuff that didnt seem correct.
I am home in a few hours and can try document what I am doing and see if there is a way forward.
I buit a pen holder for my Bibo and that hard part is getting the gcode correct.
