Has anyone else compared the extraction between both? What are your thoughts about it? Been comparing both for sometime and looks like Rx8 does a better job at it than spleeter...

Rx8 does a great job ! It sure has to do with the time Rx8 takes to analyse and split files (+/- 8 minutes). But a longer processing time doesn't means always a better result. And that has for sure something to do with frequency ranges ! Sometimes words, syllabes are better or even gone in one or the other. So to get the most perfect isolated vocals, I cut and take the best parts from both files.

Does Spleeter get "smarter" or better at processing the more you feed/use it with Audio samples?

I do notice RX8 has ai like features, the more you use it the better the results, but wish it had piano and guitar separation...

@shades-aus in short, no. it does have Training and Evaluation modes that are used to build the models used when processing audio. You can have a go at it yourself, instructions are on deezer's github page for Spleeter https://github.com/deezer/spleeter/wiki/2.-Getting-started#train-model i found it difficult and time consuming with poor results, their models work great out of the box.

Deezer have updated Spleeter's github page and now lists software that uses Spleeter. The first one reads iZotope in its Music Rebalance feature within RX 8

Spleeter leaves a artifacts in the separated audio which i believe can be filtered out (like RX8). Deezer provide the parameter "MWF" that may apply this filtering MWF = Multi-channel Wiener Filtering https://github.com/deezer/spleeter/wiki/3.-Models#separation-parameters

i will check this out tonight and see what the results are like :)

Wow. Ok, thank you! I use a lot of rock and metal processing being in a rock band. Amazing tool to help learn covers, teach students etc. My own music, even without the reverb and other phase effects still doesn't process the best so, any improvement in this area of strong guitar drums and harmonies would help immensely. I need to really isolate guitar riffs and runs better. Vocals still mix with keys making harmony placement very difficult. I was playing around with Spleeter before I came to find your GUI and I have not looked back since I found your project. If I can find the donate button, i'm donating! *edit donated to Makenweb. :-) thank you!
