Duplicate notifications #1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Hard to reproduce

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Notification happens once. Sometimes (rarely) happens twice, about 10-20 
seconds apart.

i have had this same problem. for me its not hard to reproduce. go to maps and 
send 
directions to your phone then about 20-30 later you will get another 
notification. has 
happened every time i have used it.

A fix on server side, will close the bug when it is fully deployed.

Every time I Chrome to Phone from Google Maps I get two notifications on my 
Droid.

Not always but 33% of the time, I get duplicates sent to my Evo.

I always get duplicate notifications. This issue is not fixed.
