Behaviour hasn't change, just a surreptitious addition of the text to the
clipboard. If you long press on any text
box after the URL has been received, you should see a paste option that will
paste the text.

I'm also not getting any option to paste. The only option on long pressing a
text area
is "Input method", indicating that nothing's been copied to the clipboard.

I'm using both the latest Android app and the latest Chrome extension, that
were
uploaded 24 hours ago.

This worked for me.

Product: Nexus One with Froyo FRF50 (pre-release).
APK (v1.0), CRX (v1.0.0) downloaded on 2010.05.24 2:44pm GMT

Just tried this in the emulator and works like a dream for Chrome (and Opera &
Firefox)

This is not invalid. I just installed the latest APK to my N1, and the latest
extension into Chrome, and no clipboard text is copied.
