Audio source inactve / Audio meter missing #176

When adding an application and audio output capture, an audio meter does not show up. I added a currently running program for it to capture audio from and added it to the list of executables. When viewing advanced audio properties the individual audio source's status is listed as inactive. I have updated OBS after installing the V2.2.2 with OBS 27.2.4.

After closing and reopening obs, the application source showed up, and appeared to work properly (I did not test if it recorded, but the audio was measured accordingly.) I added another, the original issue ensued. I repeated the previous steps, and it too started working. No, idea, why. On the second reopening, obs crashed immediately.
