OBS 28 now has this functionality built-in.

No it doesn't, it has it partially built in, this plugin is still better.

The plugin still works as of 28.0.3, just download the zip and then unzip the file in:

C:\Program Files\obs-studio

please continue updating because yours allows you to select, .exe and the one from discord doesn't give that option, it's more the way you've done it, it's how discord should have implemented it
