I'm also planning add a slider for user to choose different year span. Are you planning to add selection for specific time span(for example 2014-15, 2015-16) or a more general time span(for example people can choose the start year and the end year)? Also, the data size for different year seems somehow will influence the performance of the website response time. Are you experience this issue? I'm thinking maybe something wrong with my general update pattern.
