Always first see changelog and search (domain) name in (all) issues (& use latest ext. version). Also request host permission for unlisted domain (by clearing cookies once by BPC-icon/pin to extension toolbar): X = no fix).

Describe issue/request: New request of site www.repubblica.it

Link of paywalled article: www.repubblica.it

Actions you tried yourself (mandatory) and if it works (clear cookies, disable javascript, change user-agent/referer, reader view, archive sites and/or add a custom site): I tried but the site doesn't work. I'm not capable

Full article content still available with Google Search Tool (elaborate fix), but site only supported as custom site (custom sites > import from online & opt-in to custom sites).

Hey @bpc-clone,

I've tried all the steps recommended, but Repubblica is still not working for me with Bypass Paywalls Clean. Here's everything I've tested so far:

  1. Enabled Custom Sites: I made sure the "Custom Sites" option was turned on in the settings and imported the custom sites list from online, as suggested.

  2. Cleared Cookies: I cleared cookies for repubblica.it each time I changed a setting using the BPC icon, just to be sure.

  3. Configured Repubblica as a Custom Site:

    • I set it up as a custom site with various options like allow_cookies, remove_cookies, block_js (domain), useragent set to Googlebot, and referer set to Google.
    • I also tried enabling block_js_ext to block external JavaScript, in case that was affecting the paywall.

  4. Tried Google Search Tool: I searched for the article on Google and clicked on the link from the search results, but it didn’t bypass the paywall as expected.

  5. Other Attempts:

    • I tried Reader Mode and even disabled JavaScript in the browser. I also checked the source code to see if the article content was hidden somewhere, but no luck.

For reference, I'm using Chrome (latest version) and BPC version 3.8.4.1

BPC extension adds link to Google Search/Inspection Tool (when you imported the custom site correctly).\ Follow instruction in the added link and you'll get full content, but very elaborate 'fix'.
